XY2412 is a positive allosteric modulator of the GABA_A receptor subtype and is a non-sedating anxiolytic ready for IND enabling toxicology studies. It is the optically pure isomer of a racemic anxiolytic drug that is currently marketed in Europe. IND enabling studies are planned for 2007, with phase I study commencing early 2008.
